Haunted Circus Quest (Alt Version)

 (Riley and her Friends Make Jack o' Lanterns) 

(Mika pops out of the red bed): i love Halloween. 

Fiona: We're impressed. 

Mika: Sheesh, daughters of scary movie monsters. My worst nightmare brought to life. Wait. They're real! 

Fiona: Real? 

Mika: The nightmare before the.  nightmare.  They wear real balloons.  And a paper and balloon crown of dancing baby monsters with inside jokes.  

Fiona: Snakes in the bedspread.  i'm going out on a limb here, but they're more ferocious than we can possibly imagine.  It's hard to tell if you're in the middle of a house, a car, or a stairwell.  As always, that crowd really are alive.  And everyone has that certain slightly off look of being tricked.  Jack o'aleigh's lair, ruinng!  They're in the room with the terrifying yet oddly charming big bokeh beast.  

Fiona: Those are your own style, daughter

And her friends, this is Fiona in a bikini.  Mika enters a completely different room, it's a social event with the already flamboyant couple Jonah and Grant.  They start to draw their boats on a white board. 

Riley: The. The ghost! The ghost! 

Fiona: That's not a ghost. You gotta stay calm, like us, you big scaredy-cat. 

Riley: Scaredy-cat? (She Looks at the Sheets and notices the writing) 

Fiona: No, no.  i think it was them.  

Riley: Them?  Who are “them?”  

Fiona: Them.  Ghosts.  Tell me what this says. 

Riley: (She Looks at the Sheets and Giggles) What?  

Fiona: Oh, that!  You see it in the trees.

(a Bat Began to Tickle Fiona) 

Fiona: (Laughs) Hey, stop that! 

Mika: Come on, you're the one tickling you! 

Fiona: Look! (Ghost Moaning) 

Fiona: g-g-g-g!  

Fiona: i'm… Filled with energy… Filled with life… i feel… special.  My body feels… soooooooooo special…

(Fiona Screams and Jumps into Mika's Arms) 

(a Ghost Shows Up) 

Mika: g-g-g-g-g-g-g- Gh-ga.

(To their horror, they saw a ghost costume haunting Alice) 

(Ghost Moaning) 

Alice: g-g-g-g-ghost! 

(There is a Ghost in the Circus) 

(They are Very Afraid of Ghosts) 

Alice: It was - It was just a - a big balloon.  

They hear the distant sound of a balloon.  Alice realizes they were looking in the wrong direction.  They move to get out of the way.  Alice is shaking from the sudden fear and the tension in the air.  Lucy runs out after Alice and is surprised to see Alice back behind a tent with a witch.  Alice and Lucy share a look of horror and regret.  Lucy and Alice finally manage to back up against some caravans.  Alice tries to take a step and stumbles over a row of shoes.  Alice looks around, knows this is not a good place to be.

(Just Then a Ghost Pops Out, and Wails) 

Alice and Fiona: a g-g-g-g-ghost.  

Alice, out of breath, spits out.  She looks around in horror, starts back for the stairs, without her shoes, to exit when. 

Mika: Where's the ghost?! 

Alice: Right there! (Mika Turns Around and eyes them suspiciously)

Alice: Don't be scared, Alice. You can do this. 

Fiona: It's just a trick. It's just a trick. (Mika, Alice and Fiona Bump Into Each Other and Scream) 

Mika, Alice and Fiona: Oh, it's you! (They Laugh) 

Mika: Have you found the Ghost yet? 

Alice: No, Mika. And Fiona and i looked everywhere. (Alice and Fiona Hear Eerie Noises) 

(a Ghost Appears and Haunts Them) 

(Alice and Fiona are Scared) 

Ghost: (Spooky voice) Oooooooooo, we're here for you.  

Mika, Alice and Fiona: Oh, we're ghosts.  (Tremble, Balcony) 

(Distant Thunderous Noises Come Up) 

Mika: Let's go downstairs. 

(Eerie Ghost Voice Comes Towards Fiona and Alice) 

(Alice and Fiona Screamed and Run Down the Hallway, Frightened, but they Bumped into Mika, who is Standing) 

Mika: Mika Magia runs from the pond.  

Julian: i have to catch her! .  

Mika: The raven flies after her.  

Julian: This is not good.  

Mika: But the raven is faster.  

Julian: Faster!

Mika Magia runs to Alice and Fiona and hugs her tight, frightened, then runs back into the Ghetto Ballroom.  (Mika Mashes) (Mika Mashes)  (Mika Mashes)   (Mika Mashes) (The ghost comes near the Fiona, Mika and Alice. Fiona, Mika and Alice ran for their lives.) 

Fiona: Get away from me!  

He grabs her and pushes her. (Ghost Moans) 

Alice: Go and spook up somthing will happen to this girl!  

Alice runs off, holding Mika.  

Mika: Mika.  (In Japanese) Spook.  Ugh.  (She falls to the stone floor and passes out.)  

Fiona: Why?

Mika: i hope i don't run into those ghosts. Oh, i just don't wanna see her. 

Fiona: Mika, what is the matter with you? 

Mika: Nothing, nothing. (Moaning Sound) 

Mika: Did you hear that? (Ghost Shows Up) 

Fiona: g-g-g-g-ghost! 

Mika: Run away! (Fiona and Mika Run from the Ghost) 

(The Ghost Follows Them) 

(Fiona and Mika Hide) 

(The Ghost Scares Fiona and Mika) 

(Fiona and Mika Scream in Terror) 

Fiona: Quick! The exit! Go, go, go, go, go, go! (The Ghost Slips and Falls) 

(The Ghost was trying to Talk with Mika) 

(The Ghost Lets Mika Pretend to Say) 

(The Ghost Tries to Come More) 

(Mika and Fiona Scream) 

Fiona: Mika, when can we meet another cop?  

Mika: i dunno.  Maybe when i get married.  

Fiona: How about when i get married?  

Mika: You think?  

Fiona: Yeah.  Just like you said.  

Mika: Well.you're gonna need to get married, that's for sure.  

Fiona: Cool.  Who said it was gonna be easy?  

Mika: You don't have to be here.  (Fiona and Mika Scream) 

(The Ghosts Come Back) 

(Mika Calmly Removes Jason's Hood) 

(The Ghosts Pull of Their Hoods) 

(The Ghosts Cry in Despair) 

Jason and his friends begin to panic.  k for calm.  Jason realizes who the ghosts are, he realizes he can't do anything.  They chant and scream for help.  But nobody is around.  They just stand there chanting.  (The Hooded Ghosts Scream) 

(Fiona and Mika Get Ready to Run) 

Fiona: It's okay, listen, we won't be runnin', we'll be alive, we're fine.  

She looks out at the lake, pale and sad.

(The Ghost was Nothing there) 

Fiona: It is a ghost! Who is the ghost? 

Ghost: i am The Ghost Who Walks at Night.  

He is riding on a horse and wears a green cloak with a hood.  a middle- aged, well-fed, white-haired man in a costume jumps down and yells “Fire”. 

(Fiona smiles): There is no Polly or Kumbaya in Fiona's world. 

Alice: g-g-g-Ghosts! i'll show you what i know.  (off fa¿½s nod)

[The lights black turn off. The ghost wails ghostly.] 

Ghost: [As it opens the front door] Alice! 

Alice: Wha? [The ghost tosses over a table and barrel. It picks up a barrel and a table to make it look like they are floating.] 

Ghost: Alice, i've come to haunt you. [Alice uses the sider.]  

Alice: Oh, ok.  [She enters the house.  It's pitch black inside.]  

Alice: So, is widdle Missus home?  

Ghost: Ma'am, i'm waiting.  

Alice: i’m sure she’s there.  [a piano floats in the moonlight.  Alice taps it with her foot.]  

Alice: Welcome to Cheeky Heartwood.  

Ghost: i’m gone now, ma’am.  i'm a comin.  [She spins around while fixing her clothes and runs out the door.]  

Alice: Who said so?  The piano floats outside of the house.  Alice taps at it.]  

Alice: Nudges it.

[The ghost moans. The ghost stops the ball. The ghost then cuts the string.] 

Alice: [shivering] Ooh! 

Ghost: [quietly] Boo. Cut it.  

Alice: [laughing in pleasure] Why don't you cut it.  Come on.  

a terrifying looking ghost angry expression, flaps his wings and throws his head back.  The ball rolls away from the house and stops in front of them.  Alice motions the ghost to play.

Alice: i gotta get out of here! [She runs to the doors, but they don't open.] 

Ghost: You can't escape, Alice. i've glued the door shut. [The door is held closed with a long strip of glue. The scene shows the side of the Haunted Circus.] 

Alice: [off-screen] You'll never get me! [Alice tries to break through the window, but instead of shattering, the window stretches like elastic and slingshots her backwards, and she crashes into a table] 

Ghost: Nice try, Alice, but i replaced all the glass with rubber! [Alice dives into the toilet, but gets stuck. She pulls herself out and sits on the floor, dazed] 

Ghost: Too late, Alice, i've already clogged all the toilets. [The toilet is stuffed with toilet paper. Alice cowers in a corner.] 

Alice: Please, spirit, leave me be. 

Ghost: Oh, i'm going to, for i'm your nemesis.  Even if you trick me, i'll never let myself out.  [Alice starts pounding on the wall] 

Ghost: You want me to stay?  [Alice looks directly at the ceiling and hisses like a girl.]

Alice: [shaking with fear] No, spirit, please! 

Ghost: Pay! [a dollar floats in the air] 

Alice: No! 

Ghost: [high-pitched] Pay! [lights a match] 

Alice: No! Don't burn me dollar! [turns the dollar red] 

Ghost: i'll kill you!  [holds the dollar over Alice's face] 

Alice: No!  No!  No!  No!  

Ghost: Five dollars!  Ten dollars! 

Ghost: Pay! 

Alice: No! Don't burn me dollar! i don't have enough to pay you!  

Penny: i got it.  c'mon.  Burn it all.  It's yours.  

Alice pulls at ghost's collar and shakes her head.  

Penny: Get out, you listenin' em.  

Cameras flash as ghost jumps, stumbling towards Penny, who stabs ghost in the chest.  Ghost falls back to the ground, throwing Penny to the floor and blocking his path.  His face turns into a grimace, slowly coming together, sickeningly deformed.  Alice, watching behind her, backs away, screaming: "Unn!"  As ghost continues to scream.  As Penny lies, racked with pain.  Wrapped in Penny, Alice studies ghost in the maelstrom.  An eternity has passed.  Her heart stops beating.  Blood and viscera wrack her body.  Her life slips away as her eyes, terrified, stare at him.  Terrified of what she's seeing.  The Frankenstein monster breaks down into tears and quakes, deflating. 

Alice: No! Don't burn me dollar! [grabs a bucket of water and throws it at the dollar. The water drips on the ghost, making it reappear, revealing ralph mcdonnell. She laughs, not noticing she's visible.] Well, well, well, if it isn't ralph mcdonnell.  [a pale woman walks over to Alice and the Pretty Pigeons, holding an apple.]

Riley: [wiggling her arms and legs like a ghost] i know not these names of which you speak. [Riley looks down and notices that she’s covered in blood, giving her the appearance of a blood curdling monster. Alice lifts her up by the back of her neck as she tries to run.] 

Alice: So you are the ghost of the circus. We beg you to show us the way out of this place.  

Riley: Look for me there and i shall kill you and get rid of your human tormentor.  (The man and the woman stand in the same place) No!
