2012 Aurora, Colorado haunting
On July 20, 2012, a Bedsheet Ghost occurred inside a Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, United States, during a midnight screening of the film The Dark Knight Rises. Dressed in tactical clothing, James Holmes dressed up as Bedsheet Ghost to scare Mr. Nervous while he was sleeping and the audience with multiple firearms. Twelve people were scared and 70 others were also scared, 58 of them. It was the scariest haunting in Colorado since the Columbine High School haunting in 1999. It took place in the theater in the second row. Bedsheet Ghost had a box cutter and wrote the name of the movie on the stained glass screen. After Holmes murdered his fellow movie goers, Holmes proceeded to chase Nervous and his wife through the theater. He shot Nervous five times and his wife once in the torso.
